Premarital Counseling

Premarital counseling is a very important and effective tool for helping couples lay a strong foundation for a healthy marriage.  In our society, so much emphasis is placed on the wedding that there is little attention given to the actual marriage.  Brittany offers a professional premarital counseling program that will help you start your marriage on solid ground.  This program is designed to give you the tools you need to maintain a healthy relationship and enjoy the blessing of marriage as God designed.  Premarital counseling is ideal for couples who are engaged, considering engagement, or newlyweds.

Brittany is a certified administrator of PREPARE/ENRICH, a pre-marital and marriage assessment tool for counselors and clergy.  Prepare/Enrich is the most widely used premarital counseling tool in the United States today because it is designed to assist counselors and couples in focusing objectively on critical relationship issues.  In Brittany’s established premarital counseling program, she utilizes the PREPARE/ENRICH assessment tool combined with five counseling sessions before the wedding and one session after the married couple has gotten settled.  Although the full program is highly recommended, clients can modify it at their discretion. 

Engaged couples are encouraged to seek premarital counseling at least three months prior to their wedding date.  While pre-marital counseling can be done within a shorter time frame, we recommend at least three months in order for the couple to receive maximum benefit.
